The centre is winner of a public vote hosted by Sutton’s Idlewells Centre in partnerhsip with Chad for the community cause most worthy of the cash gift.

Entrants were considered by a small panel, and a shortlist of five charities was produced for a public vote.

The winner by some 100 votes was Jimmy Beans’ Christmas Party organised by Bridget and Craig James, owners of Jimmy Beans Play Centre in Sutton.

Said Bridget: “We decided to do a Christmas Raffle in 2013 for Children in Need - donations were going so well that it escalated into a party for children at King’s Mill Hospital with terminal illnesses.”

“The party was a huge success, not just in terms of the number of people who attended, but in terms of the impact it had on the children, their families and in turn, on us.”

“I would like to thank Idlewells for the donation and everyone who voted for us, as well as our manager Laura Bell and the Jimmy Beans team of staff who have worked tirelessly to support this particular project.”
