Festive retail confidence high in Sutton

Andrew Wraight, Centre Manager, said, “Idlewells Shopping Centre experienced higher footfall on Boxing Day than in 2012, with our systems recording an increase in visitors of over 4 per cent.

“We had queues of shoppers from 9am, with the sale bargains at New Look, JD Sport and Argos seemingly at the top of the list! Many retailers also reported strong sales in the run-up to Christmas.

“The number of shoppers using our car park was also up and we are confident that our customers will continue to take advantage of the fantastic line-up of sales that are now on offer, including B&M Bargains, Peacocks and Bonmarche.”
