Find out about NHS jobs at library events

They are taking place from 10am until noon on Wednesday 4th June at Mansfield Library and Friday 6th June at Kirkby Library at Nottinghamshire County Council’s weekly work club sessions.

Michelle Place, widening participation project lead for the NHS, will be talking about the variety of roles the NHS has to offer, how and where to find them and what they are looking for in applications and interviews.

Typically there are 15-20 new NHS jobs in Nottinghamshire being advertised every week. The types of job opportunities are extremely varied, from apprenticeships and entry-level administration posts to professionally registered staff.

Coun Diana Meale, chairman of the economic development committee at the council, said: “The NHS has a reputation for being a very good organisation to work for and, as one of the county’s largest employers, there are regular vacancies in all kinds of jobs to suit all kinds of people.

“These work club sessions will provide a great insight into what job opportunities are available, more about what it’s like to work for the NHS and give a chance to pick up some tips about what information to include in applications.

The NHS employs around 28,000 people in Nottinghamshire - making it one of the county’s largest employers.
