Fined £100 for dropping cigarette

A BULWELL woman has paid a hefty price for dropping a cigarette in Nottingham city centre — a £100 fine.

Francie Lawson (24), of Cinderhill Walk, was charged with littering and the case came before Nottingham Magistrates Court.

The offence, which happened on Milton Street on Saturday December 10 last year, was proved in her absence.

She was also ordered to pay £75 towards costs and a victim surcharge of £15.
