The blaze is at a barn on Newlands Farm off Newlands Way, and reports suggest the building is well alight.
Several pumps are in attendance since the call was made shortly after 6am this morning and are still at the site.
The 30m x 40m single storey building is used to store grain and is also used as a workshop.
The Environment Agency is also in attendance.
Drivers are being urged to travel alternative routes until the roads are re-opened.
