Fire on A1 in Nottinghamshire
Firefighters were called to a car blaze on the A1 in Nottinghamshire this afternoon (January 18).
Crews were called to the Northbound carriageway of the A1 near Elkesley to reports of the car fire at around 3.30pm.
A Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “The car was fully damaged by the fire.”
They used two hose reel jets and four breathing apparatus to put out the blaze.
The stop message was received at 2.40pm.
