THE FOCUS was on some of Hucknall’s best young photographers when they developed their work for the opening of an eyecatching exhibition in the town.
The Gallery on Baker Street, which is run by Holgate Comprehensive School in a disused former shop, was the venue.
Under the spotlight were year-13 students from the school who are on the verge of completing a Business and Technical Education Council (BTEC) qualification in photography.
The exhibition, which was made up of their final exam-pieces, is likely to be opened to the public in the coming weeks.
The all-girl group is made up of Katie Chadburn (17), Jessica Curtis (18), Louise Beardall (18), Gen Burton (17) and Beth O’Loughlin (18).
Shots on show included 60 from Katie, who placed the photos on pieces of industrial steel and metal because her portfolio was based on New York. Beth’s pieces were inspired by the Seychelles and were mounted on old wooden frames.
The audience at the opening included teachers and councillors.
