Four men armed with weapons assault a man in Hucknall.

Officers were called to an address in Florence Street at about 11.13pm last night Friday, July 27.

It was reported that a man had been assaulted by a group of four men armed with weapons outside a property in Florence Street.

It's believed the suspects headed off on foot towards Hazel Grove.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detective Sergeant Dave Prest said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we're appealing for anyone who saw anything or who has any information to call us.

"People in the area may have seen a couple of vehicles with their lights on trying to flee from the scene or heard the screeching sound of cars.

"We'd appeal to anyone with any information, no matter how small, to please let us know."
