Free booklet promotes fun activities around Derbyshire

A free booklet packed with fun activities is now out to help residents enjoy the great outdoors over the year ahead.

Derbyshire County Council’s countryside events 2014 booklet is packed full of events across the county.

It covers everything from exploring aircraft wrecks on the moorlands to gentle rambles in the bluebell woods as well as fun for children.

Coun Andy Botham, Deputy Cabinet Member for Jobs, Economy and Transport, said: “We’ve lined up a fantastic programme of events, suitable for all ages and abilities, taking place across the county this year.

“And, we’re promoting free fun for everyone, as some of the events won’t cost you a penny.

“Our beautiful countryside attracts thousands of visitors every year, boosting the local economy and creating employment.”

You can pick up a copy of the booklet at any Derbyshire County Council library, tourist information centre or countryside centre.

It is also available from www.derbyshire.gov.uk/countryside or Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
