FREE swimming lessons for city residents aged over 50 are being offered by Nottingham City Council at three of its swimming pools — including the one in Bulwell.
The classes, which are being funded and delivered in partnership with Age UK’s ‘Fit As A Fiddle’ programme, are available at the Ken Martin on Hucknall Lane from Wednesday May 18.
The lessons will be held from 3 pm to 3.45 pm and places must be booked in advance by calling 0115 9152740.
Places are limited to non-swimmers or beginners, aged 50-plus, who live within the city boundary and who hold a valid Citycard.
Swimming is a low impact form of exercise helpful for those with joint problems or who find other forms of exercise difficult.
