Fun for all the family at Hucknall care home

A Hucknall care home hosted a fun day for its residents and their friends and family.

Jubilee Care Home in Nabbs Lane invited staff and residents to dress up in fancy dress and costumes included Buzz Lightyear and Snow White.

There was also face painting which was enjoyed by both children and residents of the home, a bouncy castle, a barbecue and visitors were able to have a a singalong to a selection ofsongs from the war and from the 50s and 60s.

The music was provided by Bluebird Entertainment.

Hucknall County Councillor John Wilmott said “It was an enjoyable afternoon for both residents and guests and the residents seemed to enjoy the companyof the children.

“Many thanks must go to the volunteers and to the staff for a very enjoyable day.

“Many volunteers were on hand to help make the event a great success and manager Mihaela Oprea and her staff were on hand to help if any assistance was needed.”

Also as part of the day Gavin Sisson had his head shaved for charity by a hairdresser from barber, Ladz and Dadz in Watnall Road.
