A PLAY day run by a Hucknall community group on the town’s Titchfield Park proved a big success.

The group Fun Factor organised the event and it attracted more than 350 visitors.

Hucknall mother-of-three Amy Green is on the committee of Fun Factor, which arranges play activities for children up to 11.

She said this was the group’s second play day and it also organises discos and swimming sessions.

A popular feature was an appearance of animals from the White Post Farm in Farnsfield.

Fun inflatables were provided and youngsters showed a lot of interest in a fire engine brought by Nottinghamshire Fire Service.

Master classes for the new zumba dance craze were also run during the event, while pizza making stimulated tastebuds.

Fun Factor works very closely with the children’s organisation, SureStart, and the play day was also supported by local businesses, Ashfield District Council and Notts County Council.
