A programme of activities to promote health and wellbeing in Bulwell is set for Saturday 9th May from 2pm to 5pm at Bulwell Forest Garden.
The afternoon will feature sports, music, games, yoga, holistic treatments, fresh cooking and raffles.
Bill Blackamore, of the “We Love Bulwell” Town Team, said: “An excellent programme of free activities for all age groups will be provided in this most beautiful of settings.
“It also provides an opportunity to raise residents awareness of the myriad of health and well being opportunities available in Bulwell. Get a copy of our outline programme.”
There will be refreshments, provided by the Boys Brigade, as well as information stalls from the likes of the British Heart Foundation, Health Watch, New College Nottingham, TravelRight, YMCA and many more.
Bill added: “Adopting a healthy life style is a choice each of us makes and the earlier in life that we make that choice the better.
“If you can build exercise into your daily routine that would help a great deal.
“Leave the car at home and walk or catch a bus/tram get off one or two stops early and walk to your destination.
“In Bulwell we can walk along the banks of our own River Leen all the way to Wilkinson Street with four tram stops along the route.”
