Taking in the various locations which appear in Lawrence work including Greasley church which is mentioned in Sons & Lovers and The White Peacock, the walk on July 12 will start from the DH Lawrence Heritage Centre on Mansfield Road, Eastwood at 10.30am is a fantastic opportunity for Lawrence fans and novices alike to discover more about his work and the area he grew up in.

The two and a half hour walk will go across country so appropriate footwear is needed.

The walk is just one of many events which take place at DH Lawrence Heritage each year including The DH Lawrence Heritage Festival of Culture.

Planning for the 2015 festival is already well underway and aims to be even more diverse and community centred than previous events.

This year the festival has been re-branded as the DH Lawrence Festival of Culture and aims to attract an even wider audience with an extensive programme of over 40 varied events with something to appeal to everyone.

The festival will take place from August 27 to September 19.
