PUPILS and staff of Edgewood Primary School, Hucknall, had no fewer than three things to celebrate at their annual summer fair.
These were the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the imminent Olympic Games and the exciting news that Edgewood has now come out of Special Measures.
The event was held in the school dining hall instead of outside because of unfavourable weather.
Head of school Ed Seeley said: “With the Jubilee link, there was plenty of red, white and blue on display.
“The fair raised more than £600 for school funds. It was so busy at one stage that the hall was absolutely full.”
A tombola and raffles were well supported and an author paid a visit to offer books for sale.
