FUNDRAISING went to the heads of staff at a Hucknall charity shop.

For the team at Headway on Hucknall High Street wore a wide variety of hats to raise money for the charity.

These included a Christmas hat and a bowler hat, while a touch of ‘Alice In Wonderland’ was brought to the proceedings with the type of headgear sported by the Mad Hatter.

Shop manager Bev Beevers said: “The hats made for a colourful display and customers appreciated our efforts.”

The initiative was the shop’s contribution to Brain Injury Week, which is aimed at creating awareness of the devastating impact such injuries can have on victims, their families and carers. Headway is a national organisation which works to improve life after a brain injury, providing information, support and services for those affected.
