AN INNOVATIVE mother from Hucknall who launched a company specialising in jewellery for children has been named among the top 100 ‘mumpreneurs’ in the country.

Helen Keightley (pictured), of Drury Close, is behind BAMBINO BEADS, which offers a hand-made range of jewellery for youngsters aged three and upwards.

Now the Mumpreneur organisation, which offers support and advice for mothers in business, has picked Bambino Beads as one of the best companies in the UK.

Helen said: “I was delighted to learn that I have been awarded the prestigious title of being in the top 100 ‘mumpreneurs’.

“There are so many mums out there running successful businesses. I feel honoured that I have been chosen, especially since Bambino Beads is still a very young business.”

Helen, who has twin sons, is an image consultant by trade. She launched Bambino Beads in April 2011.

The company offers colourful jewellery with magnetic clasp-fasteners. Items include silver charms and wooden beads.

Styles are available for boys and girls and include bracelets, keyrings and necklaces.

Bambino Beads is no stranger to success because last year, the firm won endorsement from businessman Theo Paphitis, who is a member of the panel on the hit BBC TV show ‘Dragons’s Den’.
