Help for disabled victims of abuse

EXTRA support is to be given to disabled residents in Hucknall and Nottinghamshire who are at risk of domestic violence.

Notts County Council has pledged an extra £15,000 that will pay for training events to help local agencies that are involved in public protection identify disabled victims who are at risk.

Coun Mick Murphy (Con), of Hucknall, who is lead member for community safety, says disabled people “often have other difficulties that prevent them from raising the alarm”.
