Help for ‘on the go parents’ in Blidworth
Victoria Staples held a community open day at the launch of her new play group Messy Monkeyz, which she hopes will bring the community together.
Hoping to provide on the go mums and dads with an opportunity to work out while also encouraging their youngsters to be active and healthy at the same time, Messy Monkeyz was launched on the 7th April.

Hide AdVictoria said the group, which is based at Blidworth Community Leisure Centre, will make it easy for parents and children to be in the same place while they take some time out to get in shape.
“I really struggled to find the time to exercise while raising my three sons,” she said.
“I am targeting mums in particular around the local area who are struggling to make time to exercise by removing those child care barriers.
“There isn’t really any facilities like this in the three areas of Rainworth, Ravenshead and Blidworth.

Hide Ad“The community open day was great because it was about bringing the community together and getting that strong community spirit back.
“I want to say a massive thank you to all the businesses that helped to make it a reality. We had a lot come forward wanting to help.”
Around 200 mums attended the open day. Messy Monkeyz also holds dance classes for toddlers of all ages.
