Help Mansfield’s Four Seasons fight congenital heart disease

Mansfield folk are being urged to donate a bag of good quality clothes, shoes, toys, books, CDs, DVDs and bric-a-brac at Four Seasons Shopping Centre

The British Heart Foundation shops’ Bag It. Beat It. stock appeal runs at the shopping centre until Sunday.

Every bag donated this September will go on to raise vital funds to fight congenital heart disease through pioneering life-saving research.

Before the BHF was founded, only one in five babies born with congenital heart disease saw their first birthday, let alone their first day of school.

But now, thanks to pioneering research, around 4,000 experience their first day every year.

Rebekah O’Neill, Four Seasons Centre Manager, said: “We are all guilty at some point in our lives of having cupboards full to the brim with items.

“So, why not make life easier, clear out the cupboards and join in the Bag It. Beat It. Campaign and help fund life-saving research into congenital heart disease.

“Please get all your friends, neighbours, family and colleagues together and simply fill up a bag and join the BHF in the fight against heart disease.”

After the event in the shopping centre has ended, bags can still be donated to the local BHF shop.
