THE summer solstice is upon us, and Chad is looking to celebrate the ‘Longest Day’ of the year on Friday with a snapshot of life in our amazing area.
We need people to help us by sharing videos, tweets and Facebook updates so that we can tell the story of a day in the life of Mansfield.
We plan to spend the day sharing your activities and celebrating the people and places that make Mansfield a fantastic place to live and work.
From the sublime to the ridiculous, the humdrum to the extraordinary. We want you to pull out your smartphones and shoot a short 30 second clip of something happening in your life on the longest day.
We’re looking for scores of snapshots of life – not just scenery, but work, play, children, adults, old, young – you name it, we need YOU to film it, and email it to us – firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will then be uploading all the videos at the end of the day to make one special film showcasing the very best that Mansfield has to offer.
Make a note and look us up on Facebook (facebook.com/mansfieldchad), follow us on Twitter (@ChadNews) and email us email@example.com. If you have a video you want to share, why not pop into our Newgate Lane office with your video on a memory stick and we will inlude it in our special film. We also be using the #longestlocalday hashtag if you want to get involved or search for us on Twitter.
This exciting initiative is all part of our Summer Of Love campaign that runs throughout June.
