A HOTEL in Annesley that was previously co-owned by ex-Formula 1 racing driver David Coulthard is looking to be in pole position after being bought by the worldwide Holiday Inn chain.

The DAKOTA bar and grill at Sherwood Business Park, near to junction 27 of the M1, has been rebranded with the well-known green livery of Holiday Inn after the recent takeover.

The Lake View Drive hotel was bought out by the firm behind the Mourhotel chain in 2009 after the owners, including F1 driver Coulthard, placed it into administration.

It was marketed as offering guests ‘stylish design, innovative surroundings and an unparalleled luxury experience.’

The hotel features 92 guest rooms, a gym and space for business meetings, as well as the bar and grill.

Now the hotel management firm Seymour Capital has secured a long-term lease on the hotel and entered into the franchise agreement with Holiday Inn parent company Intercontinental Hotels Group.

The Holiday Inn website lists the rebranded hotel as open for bookings from Wednesday June 1.
