The 51 room hotel, on Mansfield Road, has been totally transformed in just one week, meaning customers now benefit from a fresh Travelodge style.

The work has been done as part of the company’s £137m investment in its property portfolio this year.

The style was developed in consultation with customers, and sees a new contemporary look for the hotel rooms.

The biggest investment in each room is the Travelodge Dreamer bed, a type of bed predominately found in four and five star hotels, which features a 952 individual pocket sprung mattress.

New bedding and space-saving truckle beds housed within the Dreamers - replacing sofa beds - are other new features, alongside a sleep-inducing blue and cream colour palette, new carpets and a white en-suite bathroom.

Hotel manager Mirinda Herzderova said: “This investment has totally transformed the hotel and feedback from our customers has been outstanding - they love the new modern look of the hotel and the contemporary rooms.

“The demand for good-quality branded budget accommodation within the area is growing at great pace, and now that we have a new modern-look hotel, we are confident that we will become the favourite hotel for value.”
