Two Hucknall cadets have paid their respect to fallen First World War soldiers on behalf of their community and their squadron.

Charles Jaques-Bluff, and Charlie Dennis, both aged 14, are from 1803 Squadron Hucknall Air Cadets, based on the Rolls- Royce site off Watnall Road.

They took time out from a school trip to the First World War battlefields and a war cemetary to lay a wreath, given to them by their squadron.

Both cadets, who asked for the wreath prior to the trip, as they said it would be a “nice gesture”.

They said: “It was a honour and a privilage to be able to do this.

“The experience was very moving.”

The squadron parades every Monday and Wednesday evening.
