Van drivers in Hucknall are urged to keep an eye on their vehicles after five catalytic converters were stolen this week.
All were Mercedes Sprinter vans targeted in Hucknall, Kirkby and Warsop.
Temporary Detective Inspector Richard Monk said: “These vans are targeted because of their accessibility and the value of the catalytic converters.
“If you have one, make it difficult for the thieves by parking in a secure place where access to the vehicle is obstructed.
“I’d also like to urge people to be vigilant and report any unusual behaviour, particularly noting the registration plate of any vehicles involved.”
Vans in Ascot Drive, Bolingey Way, and Lime Tree Road, Hucknall, were targeted as were ones in Summerfield Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, and Wilson Grove, Warsop, between Sunday 3 February and Wednesday 6 February.
