Swiftool was shortlisted from a large selection of other manufacturing companies and won the award after being interviewed by a panel of independent judges who were clearly impressed with the company’s ability to manufacture high integrity parts and assemblies to customers in the Oil and gas, nuclear, and defence markets.

The award ceremony took place at the University of Birmingham’s Great Hall.

Stuart Handley, MD of Swiftool added “It was a hard fought category and reflects the hard work and effort all of the staff have put in over the past 12 months without them this award would not have been possible”

Swiftool founded in 1977 remains a family business run by father and son Peter and Stuart Handley.

It was shortlisted for the fastest growing family business award in 2011 and has enjoyed an average growth rate of 25% year on year manufacturing turnkey products for blue chip customers from all over the world.
