JOB-hunters could get onto the employment ladder thanks to a programme of ‘work clubs’ being run next month in the Dispatch district.

Help and support on finding work will be on offer at the sessions, organised by New College Nottingham (ncn). Advice targets CVs, application forms and online job-hunting.

Clubs will run from next month at Bulwell’s Red Lion Community Centre on Coventry Road on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 3 pm.

The Healthy Living Centre on Lawton Drive, Bulwell, will also host sessions on Fridays from 10 am to 12 midday.

Completing the line up is ncn’s Hucknall College on Portland Road. ‘Work clubs’ will be scheduled there on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 3 pm.

A small charge of £2 per hour is payable, but for those who are eligible for certain benefits, the sessions may be free.

Hucknall College is also launching a course introducing beginners to the world of computers, which starts next month and will run on Tuesdays and Fridays.
