Job fairs in Ashfield and Mansfield

Ashfield and Mansfield District Councils are joining forces with Vision West Nottinghamshire College and the Department of Work and Pensions to put on two job fairs next month.

Jobseekers will be able to find out about a range of job vacancies, training opportunities and career pathways, including volunteering, apprenticeship schemes and self-employment.

The Ashfield jobs fair, which is being hosted by Gloria de Piero, MP for Ashfield, takes place on Friday 5th September from 10am to 3pm at Festival Hall, Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield NG17 7DJ.

The Mansfield jobs fair takes place on Friday 19 September from 10am to 3pm at Mansfield Library, West Gate, Mansfield NG18 1NH.

A variety of support organisations will be attending, ready to provide guidance to help people make the right choices for their career. Both events are free.

Coun Kate Allsop, Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration at Mansfield District Council, said: “These job fairs will provide an excellent opportunity for people to find out about job vacancies and career and training options from local businesses and educational providers.

The events aim to raise awareness of what is available in the area and help people to understand more about the local job market. I would urge those seeking employment and those looking to recruit to come along and get involved.”
