YOUNGSTERS became soldiers for the day, with the help of camouflage paint, during a fundraiser at a Bulwell pub in aid of Help For Heroes.
The second annual event in the car park at the Horse Shoe Inn on Station Road has so far raised £765 for the charity, which supports servicemen and women injured on the front line.
But it is hoped that extra donations will eventually push the total towards the £900 mark, matching last year’s sum.
Attractions on the day included a DJ, the Wall Of Sound disco, various stalls, including one selling cakes, and a barbecue.
Decorations included Union Jack flags and red, white and blue bunting.
