KIRKBY: Factory fire started in forklift truck
Crews from Mansfield and Ashfield fire stations tackled a building fire at industrial premises in Kirkby this morning (Friday, January 17th January).
The blaze began at around 3.40am at the premises of Truss Tech Ltd, in the Park Lane Industrial Estate, and crews were at the scene for around two hours.
It is believed that the blaze began in a forklift truck at the company, which the fire service said manufactures roofing beams.
“The blaze was in an industrial premises approximately twenty by fifty metres,” he said.
The extent of the damage is not known at this time.
