The new WI in Papplewick Village Hall has taken off with a birdlike flourish.

At their 1st April meeting, members agreed to call their new WI, Lapwings – short for Linby and Papplewick WI, Nottinghamshire.

In between making decisions about their new WI, members used their creative skills decorating Easter eggs and baskets.

The next meeting of this new group, which plan to meet twice a month, is on Thursday 24th April, 7.30-9pm at the Papplewick Village Hall.

Any lady wishing to find out more, or wishing to join, is more than welcome to come along and enjoy a glass a wine–please bring your own glass.
