LETTER: Ban all bonfires

I live in the Rock Hill area and am campaigning for Clean Air for Mansfield.

Apparently in this town everybody may have one bonfire per year per household.

Living in this large town equates to more than one bonfire nearly every day, to the point of keeping the windows closed all year round day and night. Surely the constructive move forward for the town would be clean air – a total ban on bonfires.

Most other towns have opted for clean air for more than 50 years, why is Mansfield so behind the times? This is one constructive direct area where you can help Mansfield town.
