LETTER: Wish I could have stayed longer at King’s Mill

We are too often reminded of the limited resources and consequential shortcomings of the NHS but this wasn’t my experience at all.

The doctors and nurses, in particular ward 43, looked after me extremely well and reassured me that I was receiving the best possible medical care.

My room was cleaned daily and bedding changed. I received three nice, well balanced and nutritional meals chosen from an extensive menu, served with enthusiasm.

The ‘ancilliary’ staff were extremely helpful, jolly and amusing and no request seem to challenge their dedication even at the end of their shift or when some patients perhaps demanded increasing individual attention.

My only complaint to the hospital is that they wouldn’t let me stay for another week! Once again, a big thank you to King’s Mill.
