Lovelace set for ‘Robin Hood’ pantomime

THE CELEBRATED Lovelace Theatre Company in Hucknall is gearing up to put on their annual pantomime.

This year’s show will take the audience back to medieval times with the performers bringing the Nottingham legend of ‘Robin Hood’ to life.

The story revolves around the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham’s plans to arrest Robin Hood and his merry men. He is acting on instructions of the evil Prince John, who has taken the throne while his brother fights the Crusades.

The show is once again at the theatre company’s base, the John Godber Centre on Ogle Street.

Performances are on Thursday January 24, Saturday January 25 and Sunday January 26 at 7.30 pm with a 2.30 pm matinee on the Saturday.

Director is Rebecca Mayes with well-known Jess Wall as the outlaw Robin.
