Man arrested after alleged stabbing attack in Shirebrook

Police investigating an assault in Shirebrook have arrested a man.

Just after midnight on Monday, June 8 a 37-year-old man was allegedly attacked by three men on a football pitch on the park off Vale Drive, Shirebrook.

The man sustained a puncture wound to his chest and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Yesterday a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail.
