Man arrested in connection with break-in to Olympic hurdler’s home

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the break-in at Olympic hurdler Andy Turner’s family home.

The man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft after the offence on 7th November.

He has now been bailed pending further enquiries.

The arrest relates to an intrusion at Mr Turner’s family home in Nottingham Road, Hucknall between 2pm and 8.30pm on 7th November.

A car and other items were stolen.

A white Range Rover Sport was subsequently recovered in Bilborough.

Andy was attending his mother’s funeral at the time of the break-in.

He said the person responsible ‘didn’t have a conscious’ when appealing for precious photos of his mother to be returned.
