Man hospitalised after violent burglary in Notts

A man had to go to hospital with head injuries after violent burglars broke into his home and stole cash and valuables in Retford.

The burglars broke into the home, on Cricket Field Lane, at around 6.45pm on Tuesday, February 2, and got away with a quantity of cash and jewellery.

A police spokesman said the victim sustained minor injuries to his head and face and had to attend hospital.

One suspect is described as white, between 5ft 11in and 6ft 1in tall and of a slim build. He is in his mid-20s, with short blond/ginger hair wearing a scarf over his lower face.

The other is described as white, around 5ft 9in tall and of a slim build. He was wearing dark clothing.

Police investigating the burglary are appealing for witnesses to come forward.,
