Man killed in Southwell three-vehicle collision

Police were called to the scene in Nottingham Road (A612) at 2.20pm today (Sunday).

Three vehicles were involved- a horse lorry, a silver Ford Zetec and a silver Mini Cooper.

Despite the efforts of emergency service workers the driver of the Mini, a man, died at the scene.

The drivers of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries. The road remains closed between Halloughton Road and Stubbins Lane.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles driving prior to the crash to contact them.
