Man taken to hospital after crash

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a pedal cyclist and a pedestrian.

The 61-year-old pedestrian is at the Queen’s Medical Centre following the collision in Station Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at about 5.45am today (Thursday, March 2).

The cyclist, also a man, was taken to the King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield with minor injuries.

The road was closed while investigations were carried out but it was reopened at about 9am.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 71 of March 2.
