MANSFIELD: Marion completes charity skydive for John Eastwood Hospice

A 72-year-old Mansfield woman has taken a leap of faith from a plane in memory of her friend.

Marion Dyson decided to complete an adrenaline rush sky jump to raise money for the John Eastwood Hospice.

After losing friend, Kevin Smith, to cancer Marion and regulars to the New Inn Pub in Mansfield Woodhouse got together to raise £535 for the hospice which cared for Kevin.

Eric Dyson, Marion’s husband, said he was very proud of her for going through with the sky dive.

He said: “My son runs the New Inn pub and Kevin was a regular with us. We were all so upset when he died that we got together and decided to do a charity sky dive to raise as much money as possible for the John Eastwood Hospice.”
