Mansfield may be flooded with stolen goods after break-ins

Police investigating a series of burglaries in a Mansfield business park believe thieves will be looking to sell on the items they stole.

The force was called to three addresses in Enterprise Way, Millennium Business Park, after reports of break-ins.

It is thought the burglaries happened overnight between 6pm on 4th June and 7.30am today (Thursday 5th June).

One business reported theft of a Vauxhall Combi Van and a large amount of chocolate, crisps and canned drinks.

One of the boxes is notable as it was flat and brown, marked for vending use only and dated July. It contained four finger Kit Kats with packaging four times larger than usual.

A second business had tools, a laptop computer, and a large quantity of children’s ear defenders stolen. The firm they were taken from is the only place in the UK that imports the ear defenders from Taiwan.

It is thought that nothing was taken from the third premises.

Were you near the business park yesterday or early this morning? Did you notice anything unusual?

Have you been offered any cheap chocolate bars, tools or ear defenders? If it seems too good to be true then it probably is.

Any information could help the investigation. Anyone with information can call Police or Crimestoppers.
