Mansfield mum asks Ciaran to come home

The mother of missing Mansfield boy Ciaran Sweeny has issued a heart breaking plea to find her son.

Speaking on Tuesday, Rheane O’Neil was barely able to speak as she asked for help to find 14-year-old Ciaran.

She said: “We really really miss him and want him to get in touch as soon as possible.

“If anyone is helping him please have a heart and think about what we are going through, please just get in touch or let us know where Ciaran is.”

Ciaran was reported missing from his home, on the Oak Tree estate in Mansfield, on Saturday morning (14th September).

There have been numerous sightings of him in the local area but he is yet to return home.

The last sighting was at about 2pm on Sunday 22nd September 2013, in Longshaw Road, Mansfield.

Police have said they are carrying out street searches and door-to-door enquiries as well as following up all possible sightings.

Detective Sergeant Phil Sims said: “We are extremely concerned for Ciaran’s welfare and we are doing everything we can to help try and find him.

“Ciaran if you or your friends read this please contact us and let us know where you are.”

Ciaran is white and about 5ft 2ins tall. He has brown short hair and is of a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black coat with a hooded top, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
