Travellers made 8.1 m journeys on the Nottingham tram last year - boosting figures across the country.
Nottingham NET reported a 2.9 per cent increase on the year before, with 0.8 m vehicles miles travelled.
Reveue for the firm has increased by 3.9 per cent to £8.8m, while Passenger Focus figures show Nottingham NET has the highest passenger satisfaction levels of any system nationwide - 96 per cent compared to 90 per cent national average.
Nationally 239.8 m passenger journeys were made during the financial year 14/15. But only 41 per cent of those journeys were made outside London.
