More flooding misery as flash floods hit Hucknall again

Hucknall residents and businesses were on edge again this weekend as flash flooding hit the region in a summer storm on Saturday.

This picture shows Thoresby Dale, close to the town centre, which is constantly in the firing line when freak weather strikes.

Residents have been appealing for help for the past year since a ‘freak storm’ hit the region in July 2013 leaving several homeowners cleaning up the mess for months.

The findings of a flood investigation, launched by Nottinghamshire County Council a year ago, has yet to be released to the public.

Now householders are asking ‘when will the agencies involved finally take action?’
