A BUG hunt was among the highlights of a nature trail and picnic enjoyed by youngsters from the Market Place Children’s Centre in Hucknall.
The event was held at The Ranges, which is a beauty spot created on the Hucknall and Linby border from the former spoil heaps of Linby Colliery.
Children and their mums enjoyed a walk and were challenged to search for insects along the way.
They also collected natural materials such as leaves and twigs, which they later used to make hats.
Next was a healthy-eating picnic before the children and carers took part in a singalong.
Support for the event came from Angelina Dudley and Catherine Allsop, of County Health Partnerships, and two volunteers from SureStart.
