MYSTERY fishing equipment raises police concerns

Police are concerned over the owner of a ‘large quantity’ of fishing equipment that was discovered in Clipstone this week.

The equipment was found by the side of Spa Ponds, on Packmans Road, just off Clipstone Drive on Tuesday, November 3.

It includes two fishing rods, fishing tackle box, bait box, folding chair and a rucksack.

A force spokesman said: “The equipment was set up as if in use and then seemingly abandoned.

“We are keen to trace the owner to make sure they are safe and well and to reunite them with their fishing equipment.”
