New group set for Hucknall North

A new residents group for people in Hucknall North had its first official meeting last week.

The Hucknall Leen Valley Community Association (HLVCA) will represent nearly 2,000 homes North and East of the railway line, including the Vaughan and Papplewick Green Estates.

Over 60 people saw Bill Hodgkinson, of Devitt Drive, elected chairman, and Murray Day, of Minster Close, become deputy. Seven other officers were also appointed.

Presentations were heard about the Station Bridge closure and the Papplewick Green development.

The group will meet at least four times a year and put out a regular newsletter.
