New head teacher is welcomed to Nottinghamshire school

A head teacher was given a warm welcome to her new post by the diocese.

Heather Gabb, the new head of Burntstump Seely Church of England Academy, was honoured with a service at Daybrook’s St Paul’s Church. Friends, families and pupils from the school, along with representatives of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham and school governors all joined in the ceremony where Anne Lumb, diocesan schools adviser, presented the new head with a bible.

Anne said: “It is important to set the head teacher’s leadership within the context of the Christian faith.”
