New play area thanks to Queen

Ollerton and Boughton Town Council is celebrating the creation of a new play area and improvements at Yew Tree Road park.

As well as the play area it features a mixed use football and basketball area and a seated picnic area.

The Sita TRUST funding for the park worth £25,000 came thanks to the park being given protected through the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge – which aimed to protect playing fields by the end of 2012 as a celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
