Newstead man enters no plea to tyre slashing charges

A 31-year-old Newstead man appeared in court after the tyres of vehicles parked in Rainworth and Blidworth were slashed last week.

Roy Leivers-Jackson, of the Newstead area, but of no fixed address, entered no plea when he appeared before Mansfield Magistrates today (17th June).

He is charged with causing criminal damage to 29 vehicles overnight on 12th and 13th June, and one count of dangerous driving.

Leivers-Jackson was remanded in custody until Monday, 1st July, when he will apear before Nottingham Crown Court.
